Online Substitute Service of Process
Effective January 2, 2023, substitute service of process requests to the Florida Secretary of State can be submitted electronically at no cost.
This site (online-sop.sunbiz.org) is the only official place to submit electronic requests. To get started, log in or register as a new user.
Online Filing Requirements
- A PDF of the court-issued summons (up to 5 MB each)
- A PDF of the complaint without exhibits (up to 1 MB)
- A PDF showing proof of attempted service for defendants active on Sunbiz (up to 1 MB each)
- The Sunbiz entity number for defendants on Sunbiz
